image credit: http://misslissa.wordpress.com/2009/07/ Yesterday after work I met up with Katie and Maggie.
I took a nap in Washington square park while waiting for them, but was woken up by this irate women with her child throwing sticks at squirrels that were trying to get to her child. She started yelling at this other guy who was feeding the squirrels, "That's why they're so aggressive!"
I looked at the tree to my right and there were about fifteen squirrels going down the trunk waiting for some food.
Once Maggie and Katie got there we ate a smorgasboard of bread, cheese, dumplings and some grain salad.
It was nice out so we decided to get some wine and walk across the brooklyn bridge and drink a couple of glasses at brooklyn bridge park pier 1.
We went to trader joes wine shop and got some cheap red. We then ran across the street to the chipotle condiment cups, they make great temporary wine glasses.
The trip over the bridge was nice, a little crowded. I prefrer the manhattan bridge because I like to run over the bridges. But I saw the park of the gym that Brooklyn Boulders is modelled after.
I discovered pier one while going to a Annie Hall showing there last week with Alison. Its such a great view of downtown from across the east river.
