World cup finals

Decided to start composting my kitchen scraps. Started collecting all my food scraps from last weeks 4th party where we had a bunch of corn husks.

During the heat wave they started smelling awful so I threw them in the freezer.

I usually make tea in the morning so the tea leaves get thrown in my compost bag (just a grocery bag) in the freezer. I managed to fill up a full bag besides the corn husks.

Theres a bunch of community gardens near my summer sublet in East Village. I want to have a picnic in one of them soon. But I looked it up and the one on 7th st between B&C takes food scraps every sunday. One of the few places that does this. I think the community garden at columbia also composts. I'll have to start during next semester.

Went for my run through Central Park. First run of the summer in the Park, probably because I run there often during the school year.

Went to a restaurant bar on ludlow and stanton with Alison and her friend to watch the World cup. Pretty tired from the run, but got some good coffee and a burger which they used an egg muffin as the bun.

Then ended the night by starting my laundry and then running to 14th street traffic to get a shot of manhattanhenge. Got honked at by the M14 bus while standing in the middle of the road.

I got a good picture, if only I had my camera cable.
