The View is Wonderful Up Here

I met up with Jayme and her family visiting from Houston at the The View in the Time Square Marriott. I knew about the hotel because on my recruiting trip we took the glass elevators to the 45th floor. But I did not know about the restaurant.

Its a 360 degree floor circling the hotel. The whole platter rotates around the building. So by the time you're done with your meal you have been the whole way around.

The waiter we had was great giving us free cover and bottled water. When we were spinning by the desert bar, Jayme's sister couldn't resist and grabbed a plate and started dipping strawberries and marshmallows in the chocolate fountain. We tried to hide the plate under the table, but our waiter caught us. But played it off the best way and told us we could have some desert.

After the View closed at 1, we went to Dorrians in the Upper East Side. Where Sarah's boyfriend got us in the back door. There was a old Yankees baseball player having a few drinks there. The music was old school with some country.
